Kane,
who is a boxer/pit mix, was brought into the Dickson, TN shelter as a
stray in December 2006...yep, 2006! He was approx. 1-2 years old at
the time. Since that time he lived in foster care, went through
obedience training, and was adopted to a seemingly great home in
Nashville where he spent a year. He was returned to me in May of this
year. In April I had a shoulder injury, which I am still undergoing PT
for, and I haven't been able to take in fosters this year. I was
forced to send him back to the trainers, where he has been boarded
since May. I cannot afford to board him any longer...I
have paid for part of the boarding but owe hundreds more. I promised I
would get him out of there by Tues. November 25. I have way too much
invested in this dog to put him down...that isn't an option. He has
been through so much the past couple of years and I just want some
stability for him. He is a great dog!! He comes with a lifetime
trainer who he has lived with the past 6 months. I spoke to the
trainer this morning and he says he has had no trouble with Kane at all
and that he is available to talk to anyone interested in Kane. The
trainer has a 13 year old boy who is the primary caretaker of Kane and
who works Kane everyday. He would be great with kids over 10. Kane is
fine with all the other dogs at the training/boarding facility. He has
not displayed any aggression since he has stayed there but has bonded
with this family and has shown some protectiveness when a stranger
comes in the room...only a small growl...but he stops when corrected.
He has not been around cats but has been around a guinea pig and was
fine. He is completely vetted and house trained. He must go to an
inside home only. If he isn't placed by Tuesday November 25 he will
have to go to my vets to be boarded. There is a $100 adoption
fee...this will go towards his boarding expenses...a small fee
considering the training Kane has had. PLEASE
CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. I AM IN DICKSON , TN , BUT WILL

RESCUE. 615-426-8123
Thanks
to everyone for reading about Kane one more time and for passing him
on...I just pray this is Kane's time to find his forever home...finally!
