He’s likely a pit mix though the veterinarian
thinks he’s more retriever/ boxer mix. He looks like he has some
chocolate lab in him. He’s about the size of a small boxer.
He’s a rich chocolate brown with gold eyes. The picture
doesn’t do him justice. He’s neutered and fully vetted.
I’ve also had him treated for heart worms. He’s like a shiny
new car ready to go to his new home. He came to me pretty torn up and
bloody. He’s afraid of dogs his size or larger. He’s
great with smaller dogs particularly if they want to play. He loves to
play chase in the back yard, where a person or another dog chases him.
He’s also crate trained. He’s afraid of thunderstorms.
He challenged my dominate female akita probably because of her size and demeanor. Due to
that she wants to kill him. I have to keep him separate from her.
He’s had to live this past winter in a crate in my garage (with heating
and blankets) but I want for him to be living in a house by this next
winter. I think he’s around 4 years old and that’s being
honest. I would say younger but I’ve known of him for right at 3
years and he was full sized all that time. He has a guard dog
personality. He monitors the fence and barks when anyone is passing
by. He takes on the responsibility of protecting his territory. He
needs to know that his person will be in charge and handle everything to
prevent him from turning into a neurotic dog. Please forward this on to
anyone who you think might be interested in him. He’s a very loving
dog who loves to get attention. He’s learned to have ‘quality
time’ where he sits right up against you and is loved. My contact
