Minnie, Minnie, Minnie… I found Minnie foraging for food in a commercial area. She had a belly full of milk and I didn’t see any sign of puppies nearby so I watched her for a few days. I checked with a couple of folks nearby who had also seen her without any puppies. About a week later I found her again with less milk and decided it was time to take her in. It seemed she had either been dumped without her pups or they were old enough and she had moved on. She’s been with me now for a little over three months and what a change!! This emaciated sweet pup has blossomed into a beautiful, healthy young lady! She is loaded with energy and LOVES other dogs! She’s like curious-george and a real easy-go-lucky dog. She loves my cats and only wishes they would play more with her. She’s not much of a ball player but she loves to chase the ones who ARE chasing the ball! She would be a great dog to run with if that’s your pleasure but anything active would suit her. She’s smart and so, so sweet! She’s not a barker and is house broken but will need to go to a home who believes in crates as she’s still learning the ropes and would be too overwhelmed with too much freedom while her “people” were away. Luckily she was heartworm negative and has since been fully vetted, spayed and chipped. We think she’s @ 2 years old and she was only 35 lbs last we checked. She has this prance to her gait almost like a walking horse and is such an endearing little girl! She would be best in a house where she has some room to run outside ideally with another canine friend but at least with owner/s who regularly get her some exercise…whether it’s visits to the dog park, doggie day-care, walks, runs, hikes, whatever! Minnie is such a sweet, kind hearted little girl who needs a place to call her own!! Molly Adams404.229.4640
